JOINT RESOLUTION SUPPORTS “HIGH QUALITY” EDUCATION FOR ALL

The Palmetto Boys State House of Representatives debated House Bill 0109 in session on June 11 and 12.   The essence of the bill was whether or not the House wanted to support the proposed Constitutional Amendment for “High Quality” Education.  Presently the Constitution reads “to guarantee each student in the pubic schools of South Carolina the availability of at least minimally adequate educational programs and services appropriate to his needs……” The House bill wanted the Constitution changed to replace “minimally adequate” to read “high quality” educational programs.

The bill was unanimously approved by the House of Representatives and then sent to the Senate where it was also unanimously approved thus becoming a joint resolution.

The citizens of Boys State were given the opportunity of signing a petition supporting the constitutional amendment.  These hundreds of signatures will be sent to the citizens committee supporting the amendment.

IF YOU DID NOT HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO SIGN THE PETITION YOU CAN GO ONLINE AT GoodbyeMinimallyAdequate.Com AND ADD YOUR SIGNATURE.

Nationalists Win State's Highest Office, Feds Well Represented

The citizens of the State of Palmetto have selected their representatives for the state offices. Nationalist Nathaniel Madden has won the state's highest office, but the Federalists were finally able to break through and win the majority of state offices.  Click on "State General" on the left to view the results.

County Elections "Nat" So Close!

After a narrow victory in the Palmetto Boys State city elections the Nationalists used that momentum to establish a stronghold over the six counties that make up the state.  The electorate was apparently fed up with the Federalists and elected Nationalist party members to 93 of the 151 available county offices.  Will the Federalists be able to rebound with a respectable showing in the state elections?  Click on the county names on the left to see the results for each individual county.

Nationalists Get The Edge In City Elections

The members of the Nationalist party of Palmetto Boys State are celebrating today as they narrowly edged out the Federalists for the most city offices won in our state.  The Nats also held the lead in Mayor and Mayor Pro-Tem race wins.  While the totals were very close, the Nationalists have served notice to the Feds that they will need to bring their "A-game" with the county and state elections looming.  Hover over the counties on the left and select each city to view detailed election results.
